Keeping tropical fish the easy way
I have met many people who got into fish tankes for a while, but found it too much work, and their fish kept dying. It’s not that fish aren’t viable, for they’ve been on the earth for thousands of years. Nor is it that they can’t live in little glass boxes. The first and most obvious thing is that fish don’t have chemicals in their water in nature. They also don’t have filters, or at least not in the form of little plastic motors. They have plants to filter the water, and snails and shrimp to clean up the gunk. Without technilogical interference, tropical fish are much better at adapting to cooler waters, and will not need a heater either. No more water changing, no more filter cleaning, no more sick fish!

The beginner fish guide
Buying fish can be so exciting that you can get carried away and buy the prettiest one you see, but often they are the ones that are more delicate. That’s not to say there aren’t any pretty beginner fish, but the fancy guys like bettas and gourami tend to be more delicate, and much easier to kill. Of courses you might get a really hard to keep fish and it works out, but it’s not worth the risk if you pay $40 for a fish and it dies. Let me just say, the price seems like a lot more when you’re retreiving a dead fish from the back of the tank. We want to avoid that, as it is very disheartening. This guide can help you find the pretty ones that won’t die, and find out their various qualities and temperaments.

All my blog posts are written from either my experience, or the experience of my friend and fellow writer Robert Buxtime. We got into fish a few years back, and since then it has become quite the all consuming passion. I’m always trying new species, making mistakes, and learning from them. There will always be more blog posts as I learn more and more about fish. Join my mailing list to get updated on new posts.
