My story

All my life I have loved animals, and grew up growing rabbits for meat, as goats for milk. I always wanted a horse, but wherever I’ve gone the food and they money just isn’t practical. There is something thrilling about galloping up a steep hill and feeling the wind in your hair, and one day I know I will have a horse of my own, but for now I am satisfied with riding other people’s mighty steeds, and working on the animals I can afford, and I have the land for.
I love breeding animals, for many reasons, not the least of which is that I want to eat meat. There are so many people who can go to the shop and buy a peice of meat without a second thought as to where it’s come from or what’s happened to it. Do you know where that lamb was before it cam to your fridge? Do you know what it might have eaten, or what it might have been drenched with? No, which is why I like to eat either my own animals, or ones from friends. That way I know they haven’t been fed any toxic commercial wormer, or other things that are not fit for human consumption.
I care about the health of all animals, and that does not exclude fish. Fish are amazing creatures when you step back and actually look at them. And they are some of the animals that go through the most abuse of all. Do people not realise, or do they not care? Sadly I beleive it is both. The amount of poisons that are poured into fish tanks per year would be shocking if it were measured. Horrible blue liquids that are entierly unnecisary, and would never be found in nature. Fish are all to often taken as stupid, animals that don’t really have brains, when some of them actually seem quite smart. It’s not for no reason that you have shy fish and friendly fish, and like any other pet, they can get to know you, and get friendlier. And it’s becasue they do have brains. I am one of those people who just loves to eat fish, but I do wish there was another way to kill them that wasn’t so brutal. I got into fish only a few years ago, but I have come so far since then. I have kept so many types, made so many mistakes, and learned from them. And so I intend to go on, though with a lot more success than how I started. On this website I hope to help you with your fish tank experience, and if possible, you can learn from my mistakes rather than your own.
I am also a passionate herbal veterinarian and writer. I have written several novel drafts, which I am editing and hope to publish. I write fantasy and distopian sci-fi romance for midgrade to young adult audiances, though I haven’t found many people interested in proof reading for me. All of my books involve animals in some way, generally with close relationships between creatures and the main characters. I know some other young writers have made a good group of characters, but just can’t go anywhere with a plot. Personally I think up way to many plots for my own good, which has turned out to be very convenient when it comes to helping others who are interested in being writers. I have not published anything, so I cannot call myself an experienced writer, however I’m always willing to give advice. I had complete homeschool education, and spent more time playing outside and with the animals than I did doing maths, which for me was winning. I have learned more than anyone else my age about living, and have written because I want to, not because I was forced to. All the information I offer from my website I have learned through experience, through living with fish, and living with the consequences of failure.
