I offer to set up a tank of any size, and buy a tank if you haven’t got one already, however that will be included into the final bill. I have found a lot of my tanks at tipshops and opshops, so I advise looking there. If you have a tank then great, I’ll fill it up using whatever style you like so long as it conforms to my natural methods, (Enough plants to support the ecosystem and keep the water clean.) I do not set up modern filter powered aquariums. The tanks I build are natural and sustainable. An LED aqiarium light is the only peice of electronic equipment you’ll need.
Depending on what I have to buy and how much time it takes the price of a custom tank will vary, starting with $50 an hour for my time and creativeity, and then enough to cover ornaments, (Which tend to cost more than fish.) If you want a tank with more fancy fish and/or shrimp then the price will naturaly go up. If you are that way inclined I can fill your tank with $50 shrimp and $150 fish, but the end result is going to be expensive.
Please note, I can only set up fish tanks within a reasonable distance of my home. I am locaed in the Northern Rivers area, NSW. I will not set up tanks furthur than the Gold Coast or Casino without an initial petrol fee. The furthur you want me to come the higher pay I will require.
Small tanks
$330 is an example of a small tank around 35-60 litres, with reasonably simple fish, plants and hardscapes. (Neon tetras, red shrimp, ect. A few large stones, scattered rock and minimal wood. Frondy green background plants, thick bright foliage, simple yet pretty mosses.)
$680 is an example of a small tank, around 35-60 litres with more fancy fish, plants and hardscape. (tiny green rasboras, fancy green shrimp, ect. Pile of rocks and wood topped with eppifites, with scattered pebbles and woodchips for natural effect. feather soft lacy background plants.)
Medium tanks
$630, is an example of a medium sized tank, around 90-120 litres, with simple, baisic fish, plants and ornaments, (Green barbs, red shrimp, striped minos, ect. One rock set, a large peice of wood, common yet pretty plants.)
$990 is an example of a medium sized tank of around 90-120 litres, with more fancy fish, plants and ornaments, (neon gourami, red and blue tetras, blue shirmp, ect. Large heap of rocks-two rock sets, genous amount of driftwood, rarer eppifitic plants.)
Large tanks
$950 is an example of a large tank, around 130-200 litres, with simple more baisic fish, plants and ornaments. (Golden gourami, striped danio, yellow shrimp, ect. reasonable amount of round rocks and driftwood scaping. Tall lacy background plants of red and green, large leafed eppifites, red centre plants.)
$1320 is another example of a large tank, 130-200 litres, well furnished with fancier and more expensive plants, fish and hardscapes. (school of orange gourami, colourful spotted blue eyes, red and white shrimp, ect. Generous heap of rocks for extensive scaping, planted with skinny leafed eppifites, big round leafed midground plants, grassy carpet.)
These are in the spectrum of regularly available tank sizes, and should give you a basic idea of pricing. Remember however that these are examples, and not the set price for their described size. The price is fully based on what is in the tank. If you have a tank larger than 200 litres then it will naturally cost a bit more, but I would still be happy to set it up for you.
